To Sir,With Love 

                        A' Negro' teacher ,Mark  THACKERY(SIDDNEY'S POITER), professionally an engineer ,comes to a school where most of the children are 'unpolished'. He takes all his gadgets  to make them cultured.He can't implement all this as most of the time the learners trouble him.He realises  'some thing' new to be adopted to tame them. Taming is pruning .He cunningly diversifies their energy to make them what they are today.At  last the pupil recognise him as their mentor with love and affection .He  has even torn out the much anticipated appointment as a engineer.sidney Poiter successfully gives life to E.R.Braitwait's screen play under the  direction of JAMES CLAVELL.

                Why does a negro come to a "white" school? The teachers are white , The learner's too.  That is Thackery's first appointment as a teacher .He looks for an engineering profession .He couldn't get it.why? The year was 1966. Racial discrimination was prevailing everywhere".where do you come from .?" the students ask this question many times.It is recurrent in this film .

                 Everything doesnot happen all of a sudden..It has a long history .Go back  to the era of expediation and exploration .The white Europeans(white)went to Africa for invading them.. the Africans became scapegoats.It is  quite interesting that why a "black" comes to an unpolished white school where whites are  teachers  .Externally the learners are primitive.  Even the white teachers couldn't handle them. Here the black teacher ,Thackery astonishes hiim. Above race and creed humanity exists."STUDENTS STARTED TO LOVE HIM ONLY WHEN HE STARTED TO LOVE  THEM".No other can't do it.Love changes everybody .Love prevails everywhere.

                A revolution indeed..the same scenario is happening nowadays too.Learners are not primitive externally. But internally they are . Love is the only weapon to handle them. He is a teacher but he wants to be an engineer.The way he captivises  The children by asking  them to prepare  a receipe attract our attention . Though he has no formal  training in education , he performs well..He realises that formal curricula and system are not in tune with the real life.He put aside the formal books and starts to teach real life situation .It always exhorts us not to be a formal teacher adhering stick to the system butn to follow an informal friendly teaching or' real life' lovable teaching .the director cleverly juxtaposes  two situations . one from curricular and other from real life.the teacher is credible both to the mother and the girl. (representig the two sections.)the same question has some relevances.too.

                 Number of pictures have shown in this film. the teacher wants to make his class an art gallery with various pictures .Why does  the teacher stay in the class room after the students leave the class? His determination prevails throughout the film.he likes to deal with living creatures than with machines.that is why he tears up the appointment order and continue in the school.

Donot relegate this film into an educational fillm.It is one of the many aspects . while oppression are going on throughout the world a down trodden or disadvataged negro -because of the colour -turn upside down the very system which revolves round  the whitish people.  In short it is an attempt to create the other world WHICH IS JUST OPPOSITE TO THE PRESENT  WORLD.

                       Without communication no language can't exist .two modes of communication are spoken and written.Spoken language comes first  .English was a lingua franca once.Now it reaches into the level of global language .In every fields -business,higher education ,journalism and in all  fields english prevails.

             The emphasis on pronunciation leads us to a better speaking and confidence making process.It is very quientesstial in language teaching .How can we improve the prounciation skills?
